Difference Between LAN MAN WAN
Network is a group of devices connected together to share the resources. Network has categorized into three parts: LAN, MAN and WAN
1 LAN (Local Area Network):
LAN stands for Local Area Network. It normally covers a building.This is small range network. It has very high network speed around 10000 mbps to 1000 mbps or above.
2. MAN (Metro Politian Area Network):
MAN stands for Metropolitan Area Network. LAN normally covers a city or town. It is a medium range network category. It has low network speed as compare to local area network around 1000 mbps to 100 mbps or above.
For example: Cable TV and Landline Phone.
3. WAN (Wide Area Network):
WAN stands for Wide Area Network. It covers two or more countries and continents. This is a large range network category. WAN has very low network speed as compare to local area network and metropolitan area network around 1.5 mbps to 20 mbps or above as per the network type like 2G,3G or 4G network.
